I was browsing through several blogs and I came across an entry where she had chosen a word for 2012. Hers was Begin. I love this idea so I thought I would give it a try and periodically let ya'll know how I am doing with it. My word is ENJOY. I want to start enjoying myself and my surrounding a little more this year. Over the past several years I have slowly but surely put myself in a position where all I think about is how to get by each year. I am sure I have had plenty of outside help with this but I feel I have forgotten how to really Enjoy myself and my surrounding. This is what I think I will like to accomplish this year along with the usual. I think my blogging is a good start. This is something I always thought would be enjoyable but never could get around to it, you know those Round To Its are really hard to come by. Also this spring getting out and enjoying my yard more planting flowers and such. I have a good bit of land here in town a whole half a block and I really would like to enjoy it more. Anyway that is just the start. I know this will be a good challenge because my daughter graduates this year and will be going to college. WOW, this could get interesting.

Baby Bunting Blanks

Just finished making these little bunting blankets. I wish I knew how to make these when my daughter was a baby. Almost makes me want to have another one, Not, but I am loving being a grandmother and look forward to more in about 4 or 5 years or more... Anyway these are so much better than a blanket because you don't have to keep folding and refolding them just put your sweet little bundle in it and they look so cozy in them. I have these in my Etsy shop and I will be glad to make more, so just let me know.

My Vintage Singer Sewing Machine

I just pulled this out of storage at my parents house. It is an old sewing machine that belong to my Great-Great- Grandmother.i think It is still in working condition it just needs another belt on it. I was surprised to find all the little things that go with it. I am wanting to get a shadow box to put all the little things in and mount it above the sewing machine, which has found a new home in my entry-way. I am hoping to find a letter press drawer to keep with the vintage theme.

My wonderful husband fixed me up the cutest little craft room for my Christmas present. I am so excited and I have been enjoying organizing all my little treasures in it. Here are some photos of the room and I thought you might enjoy some photos of some things I have collected so far.

I Loved this Idea I saw on another blog I will have to find it again and give her credit for this. It makes it so easy to see what types of lace you have.

I got this little spice rack from His House. Its a thrift store that all the proceeds go to the homeless in the area. It had the little bottles in it that I absolutely love.

I can't wait to use the hinges in some projects.

I found this over at my in-laws. I want to use it as a photo stand but haven't come up with exactly how I am going to do it.

Wonderful old jewelry to use in my projects.

I love making these miniature photo albums. This is something I will be doing on a regular bases. Each one is always different. I think they make neat Christmas ornaments and are really pretty displayed on a side table.

Trash to Treasure

I love,love,love the idea of turning trash into treasures and because my husband and I have a hard time throwing things away I think its time to take that love and start doing something with it. About six years ago my husband and I bought an old house that was built back in the 1800s and we absolutely love it. included with the house was 2 acres and several old outbuildings. We have since collected all kind of stuff that we say "we might be able to use that" well our collection has grown and we have had several successful yard sales to get rid of some of it but we still have tons of things that we really need to do something with. I love to do crafting and painting so I decided to start creating things with all this stuff. I am so excited about it but I am crazy about cleaning and organizing things before I start a project so I have to do that first. I thought it might be interesting for you to follow this process with me because I have really enjoyed looking at some of the Trash to Treasure blogs out there and they have really inspired me to do this. I hope you enjoy this and maybe it will inspire you. Wish me luck!!

The first image is of an album I made for our son he graduated this year. It is a self adhesive 10x10 album. With this album you purchase 10x10 prints of your designs and adhere them to each page in the book. The cover is done with a pair of his old jeans a 4x6 print on canvas and the medal is one that his Rugby team won.
